Samaritans are here to help you

Samaritans provide support to people struggling with their emotional and mental health, those who are struggling to cope or those at risk of suicide. They are supported by huge numbers of volunteers who help to answer around 10,000 calls of help, every day.

The Samaritans vision is that fewer people die by suicide. To help them achieve this, they make sure someone is there for anyone that needs them.

Whatever you are going through, Samaritans are here to help you. You can contact them 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

There are 211 Samaritans branches across the UK and Ireland, your local branch is Wolverhampton:

Talk To Us Campaign

Every July, Samaritans raise awareness of their services through the annual campaign Talk to Us #WeListen. Up and down the country, local branches hold events to raise awareness that they are here to listen to you. Samaritans also campaign for better listeners on 24 July every year to highlight that they are available 24/7.

In 2021, we supported our local Samaritans branch in Wolverhampton to decorate rocks with positive messages and spread them across the city. In an effort to continue to support Samaritans’ message of being available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – we will continue to scatter our rocks throughout the city for the rest of year. Some of rocks are already in the city but make sure to look out for them when we’re out and about!

Be sure to share photos of them on your social media tagging us @HWWolverhampton and Wolves Samaritans @WolvesSams and use the hashtag #PositivePebbles.
